ION Audio’s House Party provides a supreme audio and visual experience in an ultra-compact, durable design for maximum portability.

This black speaker streams music wirelessly from any Bluetooth music player, and it works with iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and Android devices. It also features a 1/4” input for connecting microphones or instruments and an 1/8” aux input.

Then the House Party projects colorful spinning light patterns onto walls and ceilings, and the lights change in pattern, pulsate with the music and can be turned off.

Is the House Party battery operated?

The ION Audio House Party IPA18D is powered by a 12V DC 3A pin-positive switching power supply and is not powered by battery.  To obtain a replacement power supply, contact ION Audio Tech Support.

Do the lights react to the audio?

Yes!  The lights react to the audio from your Bluetooth device as well as from the mic input on the front of the device.  This light reaction to audio is set for optimal performance when the volume from your Bluetooth connected device is set between 50 - 75%.

 

How bright are the dome lights?

In order to have a great party, you need bright lights.  Avoid staring directly into the dome lights to avoid hurting your eyes in any way.  It is recommended to turn Light Mode off when not in use.

 

How far can the Bluetooth connection go?

The range of the Bluetooth connection of the House Party is up to 100 feet - as long as the transmitting audio source is not moving around, there are no obstructions between the audio source and the House Party, and it is not in a pocket or covered in any way.  The range can be also be affected by the Bluetooth chipset in the audio source as well.

 

The sound is coming out distorted.  What is happening and how can I fix it?

If the sound from your House Party is coming out distorted, try lowering the volume control of your sound source - such as your iPod, iPhone, or Android device.  Also, try reducing the overall volume of the House Party.

Can the House Party be used in a foreign country?

The power supply that comes with the House Party IPA18D is a 12V DC 3A pin-positive switching power supply, so it can be used in foreign countries with the proper prong adapters. You can also contact ION Audio Tech Support to see if there are in-stock power supplies for the country of choice.

The IPA18L uses a fixed power cable, and is not compatible with different AC power voltages found in other regions.

 

Do I have House Party IPA18D or House Party IPA18L?

House Party IPA18L has an attached power cable, House Party IPA18D is powered by a separate 12V DC 3A pin-positive switching power supply.
